About Us
Naomi
From Westonzoyland, Somerset (the largest of the three ‘Zoy’s’!), Naomi moved to South Wales for University where she studied Human Biology and now works in a Medical Diagnostics Laboratory.
A lover of travelling, exploring, food and wine, Naomi is always planning the next adventure, holiday or trip to Europe to watch Ice Hockey!
A passionate footballer and sportswoman (albeit an injured/probably retired one!), Naomi is far too competitive and a little bit feisty!
Stubborn, opinionated and bossy, but intelligent, determined, witty & thoughtful.
Unapologetically weird
James
31 going on 50, James enjoys taking photographs using old cameras, wearing crocs and fleeces, going to gigs and cooking curries.
A Chartered Accountant with a love of Microsoft Excel, he really is as boring as he sounds!
James doesn’t take himself too seriously, makes a joke out of everything and is so laid back he is almost horizontal.
Shares a love of the Cardiff Devils with Naomi, and always chooses the company of dogs over people!
Grumpy when hungry, blunt and sarcastic but funny, hardworking, selfless, creative and calm.
Also unapologetically weird!
Our Story
We met in 2012, in a pub where James worked behind the bar and DJ decks, and Naomi drank cheap Jägerbombs! A mutual friend translated the early Welsh/Somerset conversations and after James took Naomi to Nando’s (ironic now James is a vegetarian!), the rest is history!
We moved in together just a year later in 2013, and have always known that we were soulmates, best friends and going to be true partners in life!
Over the last 11 years there have been so many adventures, road trips, holidays and impulsive decisions (James!) that it’s impossible to pick our favourite!
From fish, hamsters and McTavish the cat to our soul dog Wilson and our now best friend Herbert, animals are always part of our story.
Wilson helped James with the perfect proposal at our special spot, and we now can’t wait to get married and celebrate starting the most exciting chapter of our lives with our closest family and friends.

The Proposal
James, with the help of Wilson, proposed (eventually!) on our favourite beach in Newport, West Wales. Wilson wore a tag engraved “daddy has got a question to ask you” and the answer to that question was of course…YES!
